Title: Home - Street and Child
Object of the Game:On command, for the child to find a home
Structure:Groups of three(two people forming a house) and a person inside as the child
Time Element:15 -30 minutes
Materials:None
Learning objectives:
To talk about feelings of security and safety, and ways of coping in their absence
Procedure:
Ask the kids to group themselves into threes
Two people form the "home" by joining hands together, and the third person gets "inside the home"
as the "child"
The groups of three form a big circle in the area and one (that is YOU) stands in the middle as the first "it"
The "it" calls out: "home - street child" at least three times and choose to call out just one.
If the "it" stops at "child" other kids inside the homes get out, look for and enter into another
"home" If the "it" stops at "home" the other kids stay put while hte "homes" look
for and cover another child. If the "it" stops at "street" everyone else looks for two other people to
form new "homes" with a new "child" inside.
The person, who neither becomes part of a home nor the child inside, becomes the new "it"
Allow as many rounds as enjoyed by the players.

How did you feel when you were the "child" and was able to find a home? What about when you were not able to
find a home? How does it feel inside a home? How do you feel when you are left out? What do we do when we feel left out? What
real life situations do we feel the same (as being left out and not secure? What can we do when we faced such situations?
ACTIVITY: DROP THE BLANKET
OBJECT OF THE GAME:
To identify / call out the name of the person assigned by the other team
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
To plan out a group strategy
To initiate and demonstrate presence of mind
To call out loud the names of persons between opposing teams
STRUCTURE: Two groups
MATERIALS: A big blanket
TIME ELEMENT: 30 minutes
PROCEDURE:
1. Ask the two groups to take turns in introducing their names while the other group members try to remember as many names
and faces and then...
2.Divide participants into two groups.
3.Place a blanket between the two groups. Be sure they could not see the other group
4.Each group choose a volunteer to sit down facing the blanket opposite the other volunteer of the other group.
5.At the count of three, drop the blanket.
6.The one who call out the correct name of the opposite volunteer gets a point.
7.The activity continues until all of the participants get their chance of the game

Title: Go Arrange Yourselves
Object of the game: For a group of students to form a line arranged according to instructions
Structure: four to five groups with equal number
Time Element:15 minutes
Materials: None
Learning objectives: To discuss, compare and arrange in a given sequence
Procedure:
Divide the big group into four or five with equal number of kids per group
Ask them to form a straight line according to height from the shortest to the tallest
Tell them that the game you are about to play is about forming a line arrange according to instruction
The first group to form such arranged line wins a point.
Try the physical attributes first: According to...
length of hair; size of feet / shoe size; to weight!
Then try the non-physical:
favourite colour!(Lightest to darkest); age!; to pets at home (smallest to biggest); And so on and so forth
Title:The Wonderful Layers in Me
Object of the Activity:To examine personal qualities
Structure:Individual to group (for sharing)
Time Element:15 - 30 minutes
Materials:white paper, pens and crayons
Learning objectives: To draw a picture of one's self and list down personal qualities
To identify sources of these personal qualities
To share one's qualities and identify commonalities and differences with the others
Procedure:
Give out materials and the following instructions to the kids:
1.Draw yourself at the centre of the paper
2.To the left of your drawing list you're your physical (what people can see) qualities
3.To the right, list you're inner qualities (what people cannot see)
4.Once done, list down the reasons why you think, as to where these qualities come from (i.e. fair complexion, such as
genes from my mother)
5.Go back to your groups and take turns to share your work
